Every Guy has its own story about how he started yoga

And let’s face it, it’s always WAY BETTER than any story of how a girl started yoga,

So… I thought sharing my story could be interesting!

It’s all about…
A GIRL! (Big surprise)

It was a girl I met 8 months before leaving, and she was part of the CATEGORY NUMBER TWO

Category 1: The girls living in the now.

Category 2: the girls living in the future.

And let’s be honest, with everything that was coming up in my life,
the LAST THING I could promess to a girl at that moment was a future!

But anyway

I was on a double date with that futuristic girl and it clearly wasn’t going to work because I was moving to Nicaragua for an unknown amount of time (forever).
But still, it was a great night!

The girls started to talk about hot yoga and they told me:

-‘’You should totally try it with us tomorrow morning’’.
-‘’ Yeah ! why not ‘’

I replied, with all the uncertainty my voice could bare.

So next morning I woke up with a little brain fog due to the slight excess of wine, but one thing’s for sure:
I was not going to choke!

Didn’t need any inspirational video, I was way too excited to FINALLY see what yoga pants are really made for!

When I entered the room I was deeply uncomfortable, I felt like my eyes were two cameras filming in a girl’s locker room. But it quickly changed into a feeling of inner excitement.
I realised I just found a secret land filled with infinite beauty!

I felt like Colombus when he discovered North America
(except for the will to conquer everything)…
Hmm hmm..

I won’t talk about my first session itself because I believe everyone should go there without any expectations.
I will however tell you something…
It took me;

One session to feel the benefits for my body

Three session to feel the benefits for my mind

Fifteen sessions to feel the benefits for my life.

And now every day I feel the need to take some time for myself and practice yoga.
It’s hard to explain why.

You see,
your mind connects with your body and they really communicate in an amazing way together. It allows you to really listen to yourself (body, mind and soul).

I am now able to fully understand my body, by knowing what it really needs.
And for the first time in my life I can make it work at full capacity!

But even more important, I learned to really communicate with my mind and it gave me the ability to stop the conversation for a while, making place for inner peace, letting myself enjoy good energy and the beauty in each thing.

Yoga will change your life,
you will get energy like you never had before, it’s like unleashing a latent spiritual force of immense power and potential.
But hey, I’m not trying to convince you here, it’s more like a testimony…
A big question I’m asking you right now…
